Cadillac's luxury electric SUV, the Lyriq, is entering its second year of production and receiving several new updates. The 2024 Lyriq's trim levels are revised, receiving new names and offering new creature comforts and cosmetics. The color options have also been expanded, and now shoppers have new ways to customize this model. The updated Lyriq is sure to delight all who buy it, so let's take a closer look at what's offered for the 2024 model year.
What’s New for 2024?
As stated, the trim levels of the Lyriq are being renamed. Lansing drivers will now find the base model is called Tech, the mid-range trim is called Luxury, and there's a new range-topping trim called the Sport. The base trim receives the same standard safety features as the upper trims. Those purchasing the Luxury trim will gain features such as choreographed exterior lighting, illuminated door handles, and rain-sensing wipers.
As for the Sport trim, this model offers a blacked-out chrome trim on the front and rear facias, windows, and body moldings. The Luxury and Sport trims can also be optioned with 22-inch alloy wheels instead of the standard 20-inch alloys.
In a bizarre move, Cadillac has downgraded the performance of the Lyriq for the new model year. The estimated range for the Lyriq is only 308 miles in the RWD version and 307 miles in the AWD version. This is slightly less than last year's model, which saw an estimated range of 312 miles on the rear-wheel drive model.
